Ever been to a doctor who didn’t listen? Didn’t care? Didn’t help?
Here’s a thriller to teach those doctors a lesson.
DENT McCREARY is a mess. Dumped by his ex, missing her daughter, and living in a roach-infested apartment, he uses Jack Daniels and Pepto Bismol to get by. It’s no way for one of the country’s leading FBI profilers to live. But alas, Dent has issues. When a renowned doctor is found dead in a heap in a dryer in Los Angeles, Dent and a rookie partner are brought in to investigate. A few tours in special forces prepared him for the dirty work. It didn’t prepare Dent for navigating the nation's healthcare system to stop a madman from killing doctors coast to coast.

Michael Lucker began writing songs for girls he had crushes on in the fourth grade. It worked, so he went on to write articles for the school paper, plays for the drama club, and commercials for the cable station. After graduating from Boston University’s College of Communication, fate and a Mercury Capri brought him to Los Angeles where he somehow landed a job as an assistant to Steven Spielberg before embarking on a career writing movies for Disney, DreamWorks, Paramount, Fox, and Universal. He went on to work in television creating series and at universities teaching screenwriting. He now serves as a lecturer at the University of North Georgia, a mentor at Reinhardt University, and a consultant at the Georgia Film Academy. His book on screenwriting—Crash! Boom! Bang! How to Write Action Movies —is available wherever books are sold. Rule One is his debut crime novel. He plans on writing more.
